Jalapeno
Jalapeno peppers originate in the area around the mexican city of Xalapa (or Jalapa), the capital of the Mexican state of Veracruz.
Jalapeno peppers are popular in Mexican and Tex-Mex cooking, providing a good balance of heat and flavour, and with a Scoville rating of between 3,000 and 6,000 they’re not too lethal for adding a little heat to your recipes
We hand-pick our Jalapneno chillies, dry them in the Sri Lankan sun and crush them by hand before packing into sealed pouches and hand-made cotton bags.
